This is making me wonder Colette… what if anointing, the ritual instituted by Mary Magdalene, is partly ‘how we remember’ and partly ‘how we weave’ sacred healing??
That is a beautiful thought, Shelly. I think ritual is important. On the anniversary of my sister’s death, I usually go alone to light a candle at the Grotto for her. But one year, a friend came with me and it was so special. Not only did I light the candle but I also got to share about her life. There is something sacred that happens when we are willing to stand in another’s pain and witness the unfolding of healing. Rituals give us the container to do just that!
What sacred and holy beauty is wrapped up in these words of your sister… thank you for sharing them here. You have also made me think about this act of ritual and remembering with Spirit… how to incorporate Her consistently in our days..

This is beautiful- thank you. On a morning when I feel like I have too many scars to even go into a church again, you reminded me. 🙏🏽💜
❤️ I see you Laura and am holding out the thread to you today. Have a blessed Easter!
